Philadelphia Eagles vs. Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers will host the Philadelphia Eagles in a battle between two of the best teams in the NFL on Sunday at Lambeau Field. The Packers enter this one fresh off a dismantling of the Chicago Bears last Sunday and are looking to keep the good times rolling. Keys to Victory

The Packers need to stick with what their best at in this one. Aaron Rodgers and the passing game is on fire (six first-half passing touchdowns last week) and need to go after an Eagles secondary that ranks 22nd in passing yards allowed per game. Defensively, Green Bay needs to make life uncomfortable for Eagles quarterback Mark Sanchez. The USC product played well against the Carolina Panthers last week, but he’s proven to be turnover-prone and the Packers can take advantage of that.

For the Eagles, they’ll need to get the running game going. Philadelphia running back LeSean McCoy has struggled as of late, but the Eagles need to give him the ball against a Packers rush defense that ranks 30th in rushing yards allowed per game. On the other side of the ball, the Eagles are going to need elite play from its secondary to have any shot at slowing down Rodgers.

Betting Odds

Point Spread: Packers (-6)

Moneyline: PHI: +220, GB: -260

O/U: 55.0

Prediction

It’s simply difficult to bet against Rodgers, especially given what he did last week. Factor in that he and the Packers are facing off against the inconsistent Sanchez and Green Bay is the pick here.
