So far in the huge SEC showdown on Saturday in Tuscaloosa, the Alabama Crimson Tide are letting Mississippi State know that just because they’re the No. 1 team in the country, this won’t be a walk in the park. Blake Sims and Amari Cooper definitely handled this task in pretty good fashion.
Up 5-0 after a safety and a field goal, Alabama had the chance in the second quarter to give themselves a little more cushion by furthering their lead. Just four yards out from the end zone, that’s when Sims and Cooper struck.
Watch in the video below as Sims throws a perfect ball to the back of the end zone that Cooper snags right out of the air for the catch and the six points.
Everything about this play was perfect. Sims put the ball in a perfect position and Cooper made an incredible grab. This was one of those throws where if it wasn’t caught, that was okay because it was going out of bounds.
Amari Cooper wasn’t going to let that happen, though.
