This will cover the games that kick off between noon and 3pm eastern.
(8)Ohio State(-13.5) at (25)Minnesota: This is too high. After a huge, emotional win in East Lansing last week, this has all the makings of a letdown. Minnesota is coming off of a trouncing to regain the Floyd of Rosedale, and they are at home. I think they keep it close.
Temple at Penn State(-11.5): The Temple defense has been outstanding all year, and the Penn State offense isn’t exactly a juggernaut to begin with. Give me Temple.
(19)Clemson(-2.5) at (22)Georgia Tech: Clemson’s defense has had some issues in the passing game, but they have been strong against the run. I have to go with the Tigers against a one dimensional offense.
Virginia Tech at (21)Duke(-4.5): This line is falling, and I’m not sure why. I would have taken Duke by a TD, so this just makes it easier. Give me Duke for my lock of the day!
Army at Western Kentucky(-8.5): This seems low. The Hilltoppers have a really good offense. Give me WKU.
Iowa(-3.5) at Illinois: Iowa is reeling after getting pounded by Minnesota. Are they reeling enough to lose to Illinois? Don’t count on it. Give me Iowa.
South Carolina at Florida(-6.5): The Gamecocks have had a rough year, now they have to travel to the Swamp to take on the tough Gator D. That said, the Florida offense has only played one game where they finally got out of their own way. I still have no faith in that offense. Give me Spurrier against his former team.
Pittsburgh at North Carolina(-1.5): Conner will get his yards against the UNC defense, but I really don’t think Pitt can stop Williams and the Tarheel offense. Give me UNC.
Miami(OH) at Central Michigan(-18.5): The Redhawks have been beyond awful, but I have a hard time taking an average team with a large spread. Oh well, give me the Chippewas at home. I may never learn…..
Nevada at Air Force(-2.5): This line is backwards. Give me Nevada straight up.
Eastern Michigan at Western Michigan(-27.5): This is a huge line in a rivalry game. That said, the Broncos have loads of talent on offense. Give me WMU.
Rice at Marshall(-21.5): I don’t like the half at all. Then again, Marshall is pretty much an elite offense, at least in this conference. Give me the Herd.
Wake Forest at North Carolina State(-16.5): The Wolfpack defense has been a work in progress, but Wake Forest has been as anemic as they come on offense. Give me NC State.
(4)TCU(-27.5) at Kansas: TCU is clearly the best team in the conference. Then again, Kansas has had a good defense for most of the season. I just don’t think they can keep the ball out of TCU’s hands enough to keep this close. Give me the Toadies.
Appalachian State at Arkansas State(-14.5): This line has not moved at all since it opened, which is almost unheard of. I don’t trust the Mountaineers on the road though. Give me Arkansas State.
Stay tuned to FantasyCPR throughout the morning for the rest of my picks!
