The Miami Hurricanes play their biggest game of the year tonight against the Florida State Seminoles and they’ll be wearing these gaudy uniforms

Miami is aiming to snap Florida State’s 25-game winning streak and hand their in-state rivals their first loss of the year and see their national championship dreams come to a halting stop.

The Hurricanes have a number of uniform combinations they could wear for the prime time affair and decided to wear their “smoke” unis with the “juice” helmet.

If you buy into the old adage of, “if you look good, you play good” then we could be looking at the Seminoles extending their winning streak to 26 games and remaining in the hunt for back-t0-back national championships.

If you subscribe to the theory that uniforms have no bearing on the actual game play (like me) then this look will hold no water outside of giving recruits a gaudy look they could envision themselves in if they come to play for Al Golden and the Canes.

The people wearing the uniforms, like running back Duke Johnson who has been on a tear over the past month, true freshman quarterback Brad Kaaya and stud linebacker Denzel Perryman will be crucial as they attempt to pull off the upset.

They’ll have the support of the rest of the nation tonight as Florida State has been public enemy No. 1 over the last year with Jameis Winston the player most despised in college football.
