TCU was placed in a very good spot this past week in the College Football Playoff rankings and it’s crucial that they’re playing their best throughout the rest of the season to keep that position and earn a shot at the national championship.
The main reason that TCU has been so on point this season has been the play of quarterback Trevone Boykin, and he was working early on to make sure that his team is in good shape.
Early in the first quarter on Saturday Boykin fired a strike to wide receiver Ty Slanina, who proceeded to race through the Kansas defense for the 27-yard touchdown.
It really is amazing how quickly this team can strike and it’s equally amazing how much improved Boykin has been this season compared to last year. This young man continues to earn himself a spot at the Heisman ceremony in December, and because of that, his team might earn a spot in the first ever College Football Playoff.
