Thomas, who has had previous issues with his right ankle will undergo and MRI on Monday to see what needs to be done and if he can practice. Nothing has been reported though if it is his right or left ankle that needs attention.
The Broncos had a number of injuries today including a concussion for Emmanuel Sanders and Montee Ball re-aggravated his groin injury. Both Ball and Julius Thomas will get an MRI on Monday.
Peyton Manning looked lost out there today without two of his biggest weapons – Sanders and Thomas – for most of the game and threw three interceptions. The Broncos will need these two to be healthy if they are going to continue to be a dominant offense and although this team may not have the same explosiveness as last years Broncos, they still have some very explosive players.
Coming into the week, Julius Thomas has been one of the best red-zone threats in all of football, hauling in 12 touchdowns and 38 catches. His 12 touchdowns lead the league and he and Randall Cobb – 10 touchdown catches – are the only two pass-catchers with double digit touchdown catches this season.
The Broncos currently sit at 7-3 and tied for first with the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC West after their loss this afternoon in St. Louis. The Broncos, coming off this loss will return home to face the Miami Dolphins as they continue their season series with the AFC East.
