Hulk Hogan Training To Main Event WrestleMania

WWE legend Hulk Hogan is training as if he is going to main event WrestleMania.

WWE Hall of Famer and legend Hulk Hogan was at a WrestleMania 31 kickoff event on Friday night at Levi’s Stadium in California, when he was asked a rather interesting question.

A fan asked if they could ever expect to see Hogan wrestle again, and he had an interesting answer and even teased about a potential WrestleMania headlining match once again.

“Here’s the deal, brother. A very wise man once told me a long time ago – and that wise man was Vince McMahon – and he said, ‘Never say never.’ Right now, I’m back on my feet. I had a bunch of surgeries, a bunch of ‘whoa is me’ stuff, got back on my feet, and then training like I’m training for the WWE Title right now,” Hogan said.

“It could happen at any time. Whether it’s a retirement match, whether it’s the beginning of the run, whether it’s a WWE Title spot – a chance to win the title. I’m getting ready like I’m the main event in this place. So, never say never, brother. You never know what’s going to happen.”

It isn’t the first time Hogan has teased a WrestleMania comeback. During an interview with Chuck Carroll of “Turnbuckle Weekly,” Hogan talked about planting the idea in the WWE leadership’s head.

“[In terms of how his body is holding up through training.] My back’s cool. You know I never dreamed that if we were to digress, and rewind backwards, you know almost three-and-a-half years ago when I was sitting in a wheel chair after back surgery number six, the doctors told me and my new wife that I would never walk again. And then you know, three more back surgeries, after back surgery number nine, I was back on my feet, moving around, doing the whole TNA deal, Hogan said..

“And now, if we fast forward a couple more years, my back doesn’t hurt at all brother. I mean, I don’t think I could handle the Rusev camel clutch, if that’s what you call it, but there’s no pain in my back. So, I’ve been training like crazy, and trying to stop eating so much, because I love eating food. I got back up over 300 lbs, up to about 305. Now I’m down to around 290, and at the end of the day, it’s about me getting in Vince’s ear, and in Triple H’s ear, and to talking them into letting me rock the house one more time, you know?”

It could happen, though headlining WrestleMania or fighting for the WWE Title seems like a stretch. But with the way the WWE keeps handing that out to part time wrestlers coming back after retiring, it could make sense. The Rock won the WWE Title and headlined WrestleMania two years in a row. Brock Lesnar is the current WWE champion and could be on his way out the door once again.
