Seattle Seahawks‘ running back Marshawn Lynch could face a $100,000 fine from the NFL if he chooses not to speak to the media after his team’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs in week 11.
New York Jets‘ head coach Rex Ryan was fined $100,000 for saying bad words. Now Marshawn Lynch might be fined that same amount for saying no words.

Hey, remember that time Ray Rice knocked his fiance Janay Palmer unconscious? He was fined $58,823 for those actions. That was in addition to the money lost for those two game checks, but let’s go ahead and still note the fine that was officially issued to remember that the NFL is an absolute joke when it comes to these policies and punishments.
Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk explains why Marshawn Lynch would face such a hefty hit to his wallet if he didn’t talk on Sunday:
"Per a league source, the NFL has threatened to fine Lynch $100,000 if he fails to speak to the media after Sunday’s game against the Chiefs. The amount comes from the $50,000 fine that was imposed then suspended last year for failing to speak to the media. When the NFL lifted the fine, it also warned Lynch that future failure to cooperate would result in reinstatement of the fine, plus another $50,000."
I understand why the NFL has these rules about talking to the media in place, and I also understand that Lynch is a repeat offender with this policy, but seriously: the word you are looking for here is “priorities.” Considering the other issues around the league, the NFL needs to seriously reconsider their priorities right now.
