Michigan defensive end Frank Clark is in hot water with the law once again, although this time it’s a little more serious. This time the senior has been arrested on a domestic violence charge, according to MGoBlog.com.
Clark was arrested in Ohio on the charge and was placed in Erie County Jail.
Again, this is not the first time that Clark had has a run-in with trouble during his career at Michigan. Back in September of 2012, Clark pleaded guilty to a felony count of second-degree home invasion after he broke into a dorm and stole a laptop. He was sentenced to one year probation and an over $1,000 fine.
This charge, however, is a little more serious. The domestic violence charge that Clark faces in Ohio carries a maximum sentence of 180 days in jail and a $1,000 fine.
So far this season, Clark has been one of the more devastating forces on the field for a Michigan team that has not had the most successful year. Clark has recorded 42 total tackles with 13.5 for loss and 4.5 sacks.
This incident is yet another unfortunate turn of events for a Michigan program that has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons this year.
As more about Clark’s status comes out, we will keep you updated.
