Week 11 of the NFL season has almost come to an end, and we’re getting a clearer picture of the playoff scene. The NFC race is particularly interesting and tight. As of right now, the Arizona Cardinals and the Detroit Lions would be the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds respectively.
The Cardinals have the best record in the NFL, so them sitting in first is obvious. The Lions get the second seed for a couple of reasons. They’d get the nod as the NFC North Champion with a better head-to-head win percentage over Green Bay. They get the second seed by having a better conference record than Philadelphia.
The Philadelphia Eagles get the NFC East championship over the Dallas Cowboys thanks to a better win percentage in the division.
The Atlanta Falcons, at 4-6, would get the fourth seed as the NFC South champions, getting the nod over New Orleans on head-to-head win percentage.
The Green Bay Packers and Cowboys are the only two teams to not lead a division with 7-3 records making them an obvious and clear choice for the two wild card spots. Green Bay would get the fifth seed over Dallas because of a better win percentage in conference games though.
The San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks are both hanging behind just outside the top-six with 6-4 records.
