Todd Gurley returned to the field for the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday night in the team’s 34-7 win over the Auburn Tigers, however it wasn’t a happy ending to the return. Gurley suffered a knee injury in the fourth quarter and was taken to the back for evaluations.

Of course, you automatically start to think the worst, which is a torn ACL. Unfortunately, that seems to be the case for one of the best running backs in the country.
Gurley returned to the field on Saturday after missing the last four Georgia games due to the suspension for the infamous autograph scandal. Gurley was originally suspended by the school for two games when the allegations first surfaced, and the NCAA tacked on two games when their investigation was complete.
But this is awful news for Gurley, as this injury puts a major damper on his training for the NFL. There were many that thought he should not have even returned to the field on Saturday, especially after the Bulldogs were upset by Florida two weeks ago, taking them out of the College Football Playoff picture.
