The St. Louis Rams decided to switch quarterbacks this week from Austin Davis to Shaun Hill, and it was just in time to face the Denver Broncos. There aren’t many fans or media analysts that gave the Rams a chance to knock off one of the best teams in the NFL, but they are currently leading the Broncos by a score of 10-0 after the first quarter.
Hill came through with a huge play for the Rams with a 63-yard touchdown pass to Kenny Britt to extend their lead to 10-0. It will be interesting to see whether or not Hill is able to keep up the type of play that he performed in the first quarter. St. Louis still isn’t expected to come away from today’s game with a win over the Broncos, but they have already exceeded expectations and have proven in the past that they can shock some of the league’s most talented teams.
Take a look at the 63-yard touchdown pass from Hill to Britt:
Peyton Manning has plenty of experience coming back from 10-point deficits, so there is absolutely no reason for fans to be concerned at this point in time. The Rams have come out hot and they are looking to come up with a huge win, but they still have a lot of work before that happens. That being said, Hill is doing his best to prove that he should be the starting quarterback for the rest of the season.
