We’re rounding the corner of the NFL season, towards the playoffs and things are heating up (even if it’s getting much colder outside stadiums).

We’ve got a lot of jockeying for playoff position already, some teams desperate to add another notch in the win column (some just would settle for one) and drama off the field as well, as the NFL continues to play chicken with Adrian Peterson and the NFLPA.

We won’t spend too much time on Peterson though, as this is about football on the field, not chaos off it. We’ll merely leave his statement from the NFLPA here for your perusal (via ESPN’s Adam Schefter) and move on. The NFL clearly wishes everyone would move on as well, but we suspect it’ll get uglier this week.
