The Florida Gators have fired head coach Will Muschamp after an embarrassingly bad season, but that won’t stop him from being allowed to finish out coaching his sad final season.
In 2015, the Florida Gators will have a new head coach as Will Muschamp was informed he will be fired at the end of the season and not allowed back. College football works in a funny way though, as while the Gators have fired Muschamp, he will be allowed to finish out coaching this season and remain on staff until the regular season comes to an end.

That’s not a huge deal though, as the Gators have just just two games left and will land in a bowl game that is played well before January 1st. News that Muschamp will not return in 2015 is being met with joy by Gators fans but those fans will have to endure another three games with him as head coach this season.
Per Joe Schad:
This could all still end as well as it can for Muschamp, as the Gators have a regular season finale game against the Florida State Seminoles. This means that while he may be a dead man coaching, Muschamp could coach his final regular season game into being an upset win over No. 3 Florida State — in Tallahassee.
That’s asking a lot, especially considering Will Muschamp’s team has lost to just about every resectable opponent they’ve had this season, but beating Florida State in his final game of the season would be one heck of a way to ride off into a bowl game that no one will watch.
