Arrested for domestic violence on Saturday night, Michigan Wolverines defensive end Frank Clark has been removed from the team

In what was another off the field domestic abuse incident in a long string of them from the NFL to the NCAA, yet another one claimed another player.  Frank Clark, a senior at Michigan, was arrested Saturday night for domestic violence.  Monday morning, Michigan dismissed him from the program.

If you read the report, this was a bad one.  Per thebiglead.com Clark allegedly punched his girlfriend in the face and pinned her to the ground after she fell.  She apparently had to bite his nose to try to get him off of her.

Clark got in trouble a couple of seasons ago as well after he stole a laptop.  This was already a second chance for him.  However, as we’ve seen over the past couple of months, when it comes to domestic violence, there is no room for second chances.

Clark led the Wolverines in tackles this season with 13.5.  There have been other issues on and off the field with the Wolverines this season that eventually led to the resignation of athletic director Dave Brandon.  Coach Brady Hoke is also reportedly on thin ice.  The Wolverines were on a bye this past Saturday.

Trying to improve their image, there was no other move the Wolverines could make at this point.  The report is graphic and speaks for itself.  This was the right move for a team that has been in turmoil all season.  They are 5-5 though and need one more win to become bowl eligible.  They play at home against Maryland this week before going to Ohio State on Thanksgiving weekend.
