3. New York Knicks

The New York Knicks finally got their third win of the season against the awful Denver Nuggets. That doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be panicking.

The Knicks played a complete game, though, which is the first time they’ve been able to do that this season. In the past two games, the Knicks have played better, but that’s mainly because Carmelo Anthony has been able to score efficiently and basically at will. In those two games, Anthony has scored 74 points on 26-of-40 from the field. It looks like he’s getting back on track.

The Knicks still don’t have the roster necessary to make a playoff push. Other than Anthony, every Knick is tradable and Phil Jackson should be exploring every option. The New York Knicks should be on a three-year plan. Meaning that, within the next three years, the Knicks should be in position to win a championship, or at least make a deep playoff run.

How do they fix this year’s team to make a playoff push?

Solution: Trade Amar’e Stoudamire’s expiring contract along with any of the Knicks role players for the best overall players they can get.

In the triangle, the point guard has to be able to shoot, the wings have to be able to shoot, and the bigs have to be able to score with their back to the basket from the block. Those are the requirements. Get to work, Phil.

What Will Actually Happen: Absolutely nothing, and the Knicks will try their hand in free agency, looking to cash-in on Marc Gasol, Kevin Love, or possibly Rondo.
