NFL Week 11 Winners and Losers: Patriots, Packers trend up, Bills, Washington crash to Earth
By Andrew Garda
Winner: New England Patriots
There isn’t much more to say in many respects. After four weeks and a 2-2 record, most people thought maybe New England was dead in the water. Obituaries were being written about Tom Brady’s career, and the rest of the AFC East (well, maybe not the Jets) were salivating over the demise of the most dominant team in AFC East history.
That was adorable, wasn’t it?
The Patriots have now ripped off six straight wins, including one-sided victories over teams like Cincinnati, Denver and now Indianapolis. As much as there are doubts about how good the Colts really are (more on that shortly), it’s a good team and Andrew Luck is a fantastic quarterback.
New England made him look mortal.
This is a Patriots team which is looking as dominant as it ever has and has to be considered the favorite to win the AFC, especially if they get home-field advantage—which looks very, very likely.
