Trevor Knight Out For Oklahoma Sooners Game Vs Kansas Jayhawks
Trevor Knight will miss his second straight game as the Oklahoma quarterback continues to recover from a scary looking neck injury and will be replaced by Cody Thomas who won against Texas Tech on Saturday
Oklahoma will start Cody Thomas for the second straight week as Trevor Knight is not ready to return from his neck injury that was diagnosed as transient quadriplegia, which is as scary as it sounds as it can cause pain, numbness, and a loss of sensation on both sides of the body.

Thomas led the Sooners to a 42-30 win over the Red Raiders on Saturday after overcoming a shaky first half when he threw three interceptions in the first half. The second half the Sooners turned the game over to the offensive line and put the game in their hands to open up holed for Samaje Perine and the run game to get the win.
Perine ran for 213 yards and three touchdowns in the win as he surpassed the 1,000 yard plateau for the season, becoming the first Oklahoma running back since DeMarco Murray in 2010 to eclipse the mark and the first freshman since Adrian Peterson in 2004 to rush for at least 1,000 yards.
Thomas settled in when the running game got going and ran for 103 yards and a touchdown and passed for 133 yards and a score, but Bob Stoops and Oklahoma will need better ball security this week against Kansas and however long he remains in the starting lineup for Knight who has no firm timetable on his return.
