Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was informed by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell that further incident could result in NFL banishment.
On Tuesday morning, the NFL announced a suspension without pay for Adrian Peterson that will last through at least the 2014 season.

In a letter from NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, Peterson learned that he will face banishment from the league if he does not follow the conditions he was given in court and if he finds himself in another incident.
“In order to assess your progress going forward, I will establish periodic reviews, the first of which will be on or about April 15, 2015. At that time, I will meet with you and your representatives and the NFLPA to review the extent to which you have complied with your program of counseling and therapy and both made and lived up to an affirmative commitment to change such that this conduct will not occur again. A failure to cooperate and follow your plan will result in a lengthier suspension without pay,” Goodell said in the letter.
“It is imperative that you to avoid any incident of this kind in the future. Any further violation of the Personal Conduct Policy will result in additional discipline and may subject you to banishment from the NFL.”
Peterson has shown no remorse and continuously said that he will continue to “whoop” his kids, so Goodell had to take a big stance.
If the NFL wants to deal with domestic issues and get rid of the negative image they received following a string of incidents in recent months, they need to start making an impact now.
It all starts with Peterson.
