The saga with Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson took yet another turn on Tuesday night, and the ruling does not go in the favor of the star rusher.
Arbitrator Shayam Das has ruled that Peterson can indeed stay on the NFL’s exempt list, meaning that he will not be seeing the field anytime soon for the Vikings.
Earlier in the day on Tuesday the NFL suspended Peterson for the remainder of the 2014 season without pay, at the very least.
Upon further explanation, it was revealed by Das that the NFL Player’s Association failed to provide proof that the NFL violated the collective bargaining agreement by keeping Peterson on the list following his brush with domestic violence charges related to the abuse of his son.
Of course, as you would expect, Peterson and his team is expected to appeal the decision, however the loss in this case does not bode well for those chances.
