Buffalo Sabres Extend Win Streak Over San Jose Sharks To
The Buffalo Sabres have San Jose’s number
The San Jose Sharks are, by no means, a bad NHL team.

The same cannot necessarily be said of the Buffalo Sabres, who finished the 2013-2014 season a full fourteen points behind the 29th place franchise. It is assumed that they’re scrapping and starting from scratch; that’s not a particularly quick or easy feat.
For all the trouble the Sabres may have, though, they certainly know how to exact revenge when they want to — and it seems they most want to against the Sharks.
Despite having never been divisional or even conference rivals, the Sharks and the Sabres have no love lost between the two franchises. Or, at least, the Sharks have no love for the Sabres — and for good reason, as they’ve fallen to the Atlantic Division team in the past eight consecutive matchups.
For whatever reason, the Sharks cannot seem to pull of victories against the Buffalo franchise — and before we attribute it to current players, coaches, or general managers, consider this:
The Buffalo Sabres have a 16-1-0 record against the San Jose Sharks at home.
With the 4-1 victory Tuesday night, the Sabres advanced to a 5-13-2 record for the season; still good for last in the league, but on the wings of a second consecutive loss…
Maybe we should just let the Sabres have this one.
