Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton has his Twitter account hacked on Tuesday.

It just hasn’t been Cam Newton’s year.

The Carolina Panthers have been a massive disappointed with a record of 3-7-1 and they almost certainly won’t be returning to the NFL’s postseason. Along the way, Newton has battled injury issues and has been hit hard behind a poor offensive line.

Now, it’s Newton’s Twitter account that’s taking a hit.

The 25-year-old’s Twitter was hacked on Tuesday. The hacker was able to get off a couple of tweets, one of which was directed at Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman.

The Panthers confirmed shortly after the tweets that their quarterback was indeed hacked.

Not surprisingly, Twitter users made a number of offensive line jokes about the incident.

Newton has been sacked 11 times total in the Panthers’ past two games. Hopefully he and his Twitter account will be better protected soon enough.
