In less than two months we will be treated to the first ever College Football Playoff, meaning that the rankings mean more and more each week.
During Week 12 of the college football season this past weekend, we were treated to a huge shake up. The No. 1 Mississippi State Bulldogs went on the road to Tuscaloosa to take on the Alabama Crimson Tide. When all was said and done, the Bulldogs suffered their first defeat of the season, guaranteeing that they will not be the top team in the country anymore.
So, with their loss, who is? Does Alabama, being the ones that defeated them and only having one loss themselves, deserve that spot?
Or, after yet another come from behind win, this time against the Miami Hurricanes on the road, does the Florida State Seminoles take over that coveted spot?
Maybe the Oregon Ducks, who came in at No. 2 last weekend, slide right in there?
