It was just last week when we showed you a video that showed a young father who custom made an Iron Man Halloween costume for his baby in order to help him feel brave as he fought for his young life in the hospital.
Now, we have a look at yet another Dad who was ready to go above and beyond the call of duty just to see the smile on their child’s face when the most amazing things happen to them.
A YouTube user by the name of Mike Wilson 3RUN decided to surprise his young son Jayden for his birthday. Jayden, who had just been diagnosed with a Grade 4 Brain Stem Tumor, was celebrating his fifth birthday.
After learning that his son only had an estimated one year left to live, he wanted to do something for him that he would never forget. We mean, how many people can say that their favorite superhero dropped in on them for their special day.
The father decided to have a replica Spider-Man suit made so that he could, quite literally, drop in on his son for his birthday.
Mom brings Jayden and his sister Ella to the door. Mom tells them that they received a message that said that someone special was on the way. Out of nowhere Dad drops from the ceiling and lands right in front of his family. From there, he interacts with Jayden and totally plays the part of the web-slinging superhero.
This is one of those things that you just have to see for yourself.
The video, which was recorded on a Go Pro 3+, has spread like wildfire since hitting the internet. In just over one day, the video has already received over 707k views.
Unfortunately, as we said before, people with Jayden’s condition are usually given an estimated year to live. At this point and time, Dad says that Jayden is still with them and fighting every step of the way in hopes of defying the odds and beating his disease.
If you would like more information on Jayden’s condition, want to see how he is doing, or just want to lend your support to the embattled little man, the family has set up a Facebook Page you can visit.
