Denver Broncos RB Montee Ball To Miss A Few Weeks
By Cory Buck
Denver Broncos running back Montee Ball will miss a few more weeks after re-aggravating a groin injury from earlier in the season.
Montee Ball just can’t seem to catch a break this season. He had a slow start to the season ended abruptly by a groin injury that took him the better part of two months from which to recover. Now it looks like Ball will miss at least a few more weeks after re-injuring that groin injury, which could throw a wrench in the works for the Denver Broncos offense.

The Denver Post writes of Ball, “The Broncos’ running back group has been thinned like never before after Montee Ball re-strained his groin Sunday against the St. Louis Rams. Ball will miss the next two or three weeks, according to two NFL sources.”
Ronnie Hillman is already set to miss at least another game, which leaves C.J. Anderson and a skeleton crew at running back.
Fortunately, the same Post piece notes that pass-catching tight end Julius Thomas could return for Denver’s Week 12 game against the Miami Dolphins.
While it’s easy to assume that Denver needs little more than Peyton Manning to dominate, the team’s Week 11 loss to the St. Louis Rams proves otherwise. The Broncos need its running backs and they’ll be waiting anxiously for the return of Ball and Hillman to the lineup.
