Aaron Rodgers had fun picking apart the Eagles in last Sunday’s 53-20 rout. In fact, he may have had too much fun in the eyes of several Philadelphia players, who were critical of the Green Bay Packers quarterback.

Aaron Rodgers lit up the Philadelphia Eagles for 341 yards and three touchdowns in Green Bay’s 53-20 rout last Sunday, earning the right to have fun and crack a smile. Problem is, his fun and smiling rubbed a host of Eagles the wrong way.

“Hell, yeah. That sh– pissed me off,” outside linebacker Brandon Graham said. “I wanted to get him. But at the end of the day, shoot, he was doing his job. More power to him. I guess we would be laughing if we were sacking him.”

Why, yes, Brandon. Perhaps if the Eagles had something resembling a pass rush, maybe Rodgers wouldn’t have smiled oh so much. Then again, it’s not the Philly defense’s fault. The special teams unit gave up a punt return for a touchdown, while turnovers led directly to Green Bay touchdowns, so let’s just say it’s a team effort.

What made matters worse was that Fox Sports cameras caught Rodgers shaking his head and smirking just before calling a time out, perhaps proof positive that he has really relaxed since the Packers offense started slow to begin the season.

At the end of the day, the Eagles realized that Rodgers has earned the ability to do so.

“It’s just who the guy is. He’s got that cocky confidence,” said cornerback Nolan Carroll.
