Suns P.J. Tucker Held Out Of Game For Missing Team Bus

Phoenix Suns forward P.J. Tucker was also suspended the first three games this season for a DUI
Phoenix Suns forward P.J. Tucker was inactive against the Boston Celtics on Monday night because he missed a team bus on Sunday morning. The bus was taking the team from their Los Angeles hotel to the airport. In the NBA, like other sports, you must make your team bus.

Tucker’s bus was set to leave their hotel on Sunday morning at 9 a.m. after playing the Los Angeles Clippers the night before, a 120-107 loss. However when the bus was ready to leave, Tucker was not there. Tucker still made it on his own to the airport and did make the team plane.
However, the team decided they would in effect, suspend him for the game against the Celtics. There has been no word on whether Tucker will be available to play in Wednesday night’s game at the Detroit Pistons.
That guy remembered what Tucker promised after his three-game suspension at the beginning of the season for his off-season DUI. So, this either meant Tucker wasn’t checking himself, was full of it, or felt as if he could get away with this and the rules didn’t apply to him.
I would have a hard time believing he didn’t think the rules applied to him after his suspension to start the season. Tucker is averaging 6.6 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists in seven games this season for the Suns.
