The New York Giants have gotten off to another slow start, and while fans and NFL analysts might be ready to write off the team, others won’t be ready. Giants safety Antrel Rolle isn’t one of those people though, in fact he thinks they can run the table and contend for a playoff spot.
From the New York Daily News:
"But in the minds of the Giants, they’re so much better, which is why safety Antrel Rolle said on WFAN Tuesday that “there’s no doubt in my mind” that Big Blue can run the table and have a shot at the playoffs come season’s end.“Absolutely, it’s a possibility,” he said.Rolle added that the Giants should be better than 3-7."
Rolle has every right to be optimistic and believe in his team, you’d hope a leader would be in that kind of mindset. If they’re going to run the table and turn things around they’re going to need people to believe in it.
Of course going on a six-game win streak after a five-game losing streak would be quite the turn around, but not impossible. The Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles are the only teams left on their schedule with winning records. They also play the Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans and lowly Washington Redskins. They play a tough St. Louis Rams team as well.
