Ohio State University quarterback Braxton Miller plans to return to campus in 2015 and play for the Buckeyes in his fifth and final year of NCAA eligibility.
It looks like the Ohio State Buckeyes will have a bit of a quarterback controversy next year as incumbent starter Braxton Miller announced he will return to Ohio State in 2015 to play his fifth and final year of eligibility in the NCAA. Some had surmised Miller would transfer or possibly even declare for the NFL draft after freshman J.T. Barrett impressed in the 2014 season, but now we know that won’t be the case.

Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer has not tipped his hand as to how the QB situation might play out next year, saying he’s simply looking forward to having two good quarterbacks on the team.
NFL Hall of Famer Cris Carter meanwhile will be proud of Miller. Carter suggested that Miller stay at Ohio State.
“J.T. has come a long way and everything, and the receivers and offensive line have helped out, but Braxton Miller would be up for the Heisman Trophy,” Carter said via CBS Sports. “(Barrett) is playing fabulous, and he is producing just like Braxton Miller, but (the 2015 quarterback question) is going to be fairly simple. J.T. has a very bright future. He’s only a freshman. They don’t have any quarterback issues for the next few years at Ohio State. Braxton is a special player, and a special leader, too.”
