Bills kicker Dan Carpenter, like many people in the Buffalo Blizzard, had to bust out a shovel to get out of his driveway. He also lent a helping hand to his elderly neighbors.
It is dangerous out there in Buffalo, with an incredible amount of snow falling from the sky. Nearly six feet of snow is expected to fall before the time the current blizzard conditions pass, so that means a lot of shoveling for the people of Northern New York.
There are plenty of people who don’t even enjoy shoveling their own driveways, but then there are those like Buffalo Bills kicker Dan Carpenter who isn’t afraid to lend a helping hand.
Apparently, Dan Carpenter busted out his shovel and even took some time to help out his elderly neighbors.
Carpenter’s neighbor shared his good deed with the Buffalo News:
"Noble’s wife, Lorraine, 87, noticed Carpenter assessing the snow outside his own home. “Then he disappeared,” Noble said, “and he and his wife came over in about 20 minutes.”Noble said Carpenter shoved himself a path as he headed over. “He had to cut through the snow from his driveway just to get to our front door … and he only had a small snow shovel."
What a sweetheart.

At a time when negative stories about players reach the news, it is nice to see a guy doing something positive, even if it is only to help out a neighbor. There are some good people still out there.
Meanwhile, this is a look at Dan Carpenter’s other home, Ralph Wilson Stadium.
