College Football Week 12 Results Against The Spread

Well, my Pick Em picks were the worst in history last week, so I don’t have high hopes for all of my results against the spread this week.

Akron(-3.5) at Buffalo: HIT! You know a line is bogus when the favored team loses by 31…..

Toledo at Northern Illnois(-5.5): MISS! NIU seemed like a good idea at the time…

Ball State at Massachusetts(-3.5): HIT! UMass is a pretty good team this year.

Kent State at Bowling Green(-13.5): MISS! Not all home teams did well early in the week.

East Carolina(-2.5) at Cincinnati: HIT! The Pirate defense is M.I.A.

Southern Mississippi at UTSA(-8.5):MISS! The UTSA offense continues to struggle.

California at USC(-14.5): MISS! The USC defense strikes again!

Tulsa at Central Florida(-18.5): HIT! The Knights didn’t shut out Tulsa, but they came close!

Ohio State(-13.5) at Minnesota: HIT! Minnesota almost let this get out of hand a couple of times.

Temple at Penn State(-11.5): MISS! Temple’s defense forgot to show up for this one….

Clemson(-2.5) at Georgia Tech: MISS! This game was all but done when Watson went down in the first quarter.

Virginia Tech at Duke(-4.5): MISS! The Blue Devils gave this one away.

Army at Western Kentucky(-8.5): HIT! The Hilltopper offense had a field day.

Iowa(-3.5) at Illinois: HIT! Even though Iowa is struggling, they still aren’t that bad.

South Carolina at Florida(-6.5): HIT! SC is in trouble if they had these issues with Florida.

Pittsburgh at North Carolina(-1.5): HIT! This was one of the more entertaining games of the day.

Miami(OH) at Central Michigan(-18.5): MISS! Yep, I never learn!

Nevada at Air Force(-2.5): MISS! So much for that….

Eastern Michigan at Western Michigan(-27.5): HIT! Yes, the Eagles are that bad.

Rice at Marshall(-21.5): HIT! Where will Marshall end up?

Wake Forest at North Carolina State(-16.5): HIT! NC State has come on lately, but will it be enough to get them to a good bowl?

TCU(-27.5) at Kansas: MISS! I knew better….

Appalachian State at Arkansas State(-14.5): MISS! The Mountaineers have played very well lately.

Oklahoma(-13.5) at Texas Tech: MISS! That stupid TD with no time left!!!

Georgia Southern at Navy(-2.5): HIT! This might be the most complete game the Middies have played all year!

Mississippi State at Alabama(-9.5): HIT! I got lucky. The Bulldogs had no business being that close after the way they played for most of the game.

Memphis(-9.5) at Tulane: HIT! The Tigers keep rolling!

Nebraska at Wisconsin(-6.5): MISS! You know your defense is bad when someone breaks a record and doesn’t even play in the fourth quarter!

Northwestern at Notre Dame(-17.5): HIT! Easy money, folks. This was way too many!

Middle Tennessee State(-4.5) at Florida International: MISS! I should know better than to pick against the Panthers at home by now….

Indiana at Rutgers(7.5): MISS! You have to love that Hoosier defense!

Washington at Arizona(-9.5): MISS! This was the first game in which Arizona has fallen flat in quite a while.

New Mexico at Utah State(-18.5): MISS! The Aggie offense is inconsistent enough to make every week a crapshoot.

Kentucky at Tennessee(-10.5): MISS! What a statement by the Vols!

Hawaii at San Jose State(-9.5): MISS! Hawaii broke the curse of the mainland in a big way. They shut out the Spartans!

Troy at Idaho(-5.5): HIT! I figured this was backwards.

Utah at Stanford(-8.5): HIT! There were more points scored in overtime than in the first 60 minutes!

Louisiana-Lafayette(-6.5) at Louisiana-Monroe: HIT! That was close!

UNLV at BYU(-26.5): HIT! The Cougars aren’t nearly as explosive without Hill.

Auburn at Georgia(-2.5): HIT! The Dawgs backfield ran wild in this one, to the surprise of no one outside of Auburn, Alabama.

Texas State at South Alabama(-6.5): MISS! I should have used the quarter…..

Missouri at Texas A&M(-4.5): MISS! Where did that come from? Mizzou still has A&M’s number.

Texas(-2.5) at Oklahoma State: MISS! I knew better…..

Florida State(-2.5) at Miami(FL): MISS! Miami had this game all but won…

South Florida(-10.5) at SMU: MISS! Ugh.

Michigan State(-11.5) at Maryland: MISS! The Terps did not show up for this one.

LSU at Arkansas(EVEN): HIT! How’s that for getting back in the conference win column?

North Texas at UTEP(-6.5): HIT! This home team got it done.

San Diego State at Boise State(-13.5): MISS! Nice defense, Boise!

Arizona State(-7.5) at Oregon State: MISS! Corvallis: where Pac 12 dreams go to die.

By my count, I went 23-27 to run my season total to 271-320. This has been a rough year! I need two great weeks to even have a shot at a .500 mark. With most of the SEC taking this week off by playing 1-AA teams, this is a bit of a lighter slate this weekend.
