Last week, I had my worst ever week of ESPN College Pick Em. I only got two games right for a total of nine points. NINE! I am almost as ashamed as Nebraska’s defense should be!

These will be listed in order from most confidence(10) to least(1) for those of you that play the confidence game like I do. My goal this week is to get picks back into the 90th percentile on ESPN to make up for the disasterous last week.
(10) Stanford over California: This one does have me a little bit nervous. Cal is playing better, but against sub-par defenses. Stanford is not the fortress that they have been in recent years, but they are no slouch either. I think their defense smothers Cal. I just hope they find enough offense to win.
(9) Penn State over Illinois: I almost put this as my ten point game. Penn State may be down, but they aren’t this far down.
(8) Miami(FL) over Virginia: The Cavs have a good defense, but Miami’s offense looked pretty good against Florida State. I am taking Miami because the offense is much more reliable than Virginia’s.
(7) Louisville over Notre Dame: The Irish are reeling right now, and they draw another defense that will force Golson into mistakes, and then capitalize on them. Louisville is better than the Northwestern team that just took down the Irish in South Bend.
(6) USC over UCLA: This will be a high scoring game, and I just trust USC’s offense more than UCLA. The Bruins have had trouble with the pass all year, and they face a team that loves to chuck it around.
(5) Mississippi over Arkansas: This one makes me nervous. Mississippi is a really good team, but that Arkansas defense is one of the best in the SEC. They can force Bo Wallace into enough mistakes to keep it close and maybe even win.
(4) Minnesota over Nebraska: I don’t trust Nebraska’s run defense or their offense. Abdullah is not 100 percent, and they can’t throw. Leidner has had his issues when throwing the ball as well, but he may not have to throw much in this one.
(3) Utah over Arizona: Arizona looked average at home against Washington. Here they face the best defense in the conference on the road. Utah is the safe bet.
(2) Iowa State over Texas Tech: The only reason that I am taking the Cyclones is because they are at home. That’s it. I would not be one bit surprised if Tech won.
(1) Maryland over Michigan: The Wolverines are playing better, especially at home, but I don’t trust their defense to shut down Maryland.
