5. New England Patriots

One team that is always searching for talent and is willing to spend money on free agents is the New England Patriots. They are currently starting rookie running back Jonas Gray, and would likely be interested in taking that a step up and signing Marshawn Lynch. Adding him to play alongside of Tom Brady for the last few years of his career would be a perfect move to keep them in Super Bowl contention and take some pressure off of Brady.

Lynch would fit into the system that Bill Belichick runs, and they are the type of organization that doesn’t worry about any past off-the-field issues. There is no question that they would be interested if he hits the open free agent market, and quite a few high profile free agents have been very intrigued by joining the Patriots. It wouldn’t be too surprising to see Lynch take his talents to the Patriots.

Just thinking about a Brady and Lynch duo is an incredibly fun idea. They would be one of the most dangerous tandems in the entire NFL, and would be nearly impossible for opposing defenses to gameplan against. Don’t be surprised to see the Patriots’ name show up in rumors in the offseason if Lynch is a free agent.
