Blackmon appeared in an Edmond, Okla., courtroom Thursday after his July arrest in Edmond on the marijuana charge. He was stopped for a minor traffic violation when police discovered three grams of marijuana inside his car.
According to NewsOK.com, Judge Diane Slayton ruled the charge would be knocked down to misdemeanor disorderly conduct if Blackmon doesn’t commit any more crimes in the next six months.
Blackmon told the court he has completed a voluntary drug rehabilitation program.
"“I don’t anticipate he will have any problems,” said Blackmon’s attorney, Robert Gray. “He’s going back to training and hopefully looks forward to reinstatement.”"
The former Oklahoma State standout has played in only 20 games in his career because of multiple suspensions. He has 93 receptions for 1,280 yards and six touchdowns for Jacksonville.
