Kansas State’s Tyler Lockett is one of the most dynamic players in the country. Anyone who knows the game of college football knows that. However, he always feels the need to have to remind us, and he did so again on Thursday night against West Virginia.
The Wildcats and Lockett are on the road in Morgantown on Thursday night and it was tight going into the half at just 10-3. There was a chance the game could have been tied, but a West Virginia touchdown from Kevin White was called back.
It seemed that, with under two minutes to go, we were going to go into the half with the 10-3 score.
Then, the Mountaineers got the genius idea to punt that ball to Lockett, and well, you can imagine what happened next:
Yep, 43 yards to the house, and just like that Kansas State had a 17-3 lead over their Big 12 foe going into the half.
It’s a general rule of thumb to not put the ball anywhere near Tyler Lockett. West Virginia forgot that.
