The Cleveland Cavaliers lost to the San Antonio Spurs on the final play in the game, and the greatest player in the world had a not-so-greatest play in the world to end the game.

The Cleveland Cavaliers played the San Antonio Spurs tough Tuesday night in a game they can pull a lot of moral victories from. But a chance to win the darn thing literally slipped through the hands of LeBron James.
After the Spurs ran a perfectly executed play to take a 91-88 lead and trading a few free throws, LeBron had an opportunity to turn the table on a 92-90 deficit and go for the win with less than seven seconds to play. But he let his dribble get away from him and never got the chance.
You can watch the play below:
A rather rare goof by the league’s best player, but a forgivable one. The Cavs are still very much a work in progress, and to have the chance to win against a Spurs team the decimated LeBron’s former squad in the NBA Finals last season is a victory in itself.
These kinds of losses are certainly disappointing but, putting it in perspective, it’s a step in the right direction.
