Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love is struggling this season and reportedly starting to get frustrated with his role on the team.

Kevin Love’s transition from being the No. 1 cog in the Minnesota Timberwolves for the previous four seasons to the Cleveland Cavaliers’ No. 3 option hasn’t gone swimmingly.

The 26-year-old is shooting just 38.9 percent form the field and averaging 16.7 points per game after pouring in 26.1 per night last season.

Love is playing much more of a perimeter game than he has in years past. This season, 42 percent of his total shots attempts are from beyond the arc compared to 35 percent last season.

This change in style, surely combined with his struggles, have Love frustrated, according to Jason Lloyd of Ohio.com.

"Kevin Love is trying to stay positive publicly, but his frustration within this system is beginning to show."

As Lloyd notes, Love isn’t making critical public comments, though he did admit that he’s “trying to find myself in this offense.”

"“Usually guys who dominate the ball so much tend to learn a lot quicker than a guy like myself, a big man. I’m just trying to find different spots in the offense. … I’m not worried about it. I’m not mad and I don’t feel any sort of grudge or anything like that. I just want to help this team. I came here to win and we’re going to figure it out. We’re going to be OK. It’s still early.”"

Love’s statement here would seem to contradict Lloyd’s suggestion of frustration, but it appears Lloyd is reading between the lines here.

Regardless, we knew there would be an adjustment period for Love, as there was for Chris Bosh when he was playing alongside LeBron James on the Miami Heat.

The question is: will Love ultimately embrace the role change as Bosh did?
