Robert Griffin III has not only been struggling on the field for the Redskins this season, he’s also been struggling to sell his jersey on the market.

This has been far from the ideal year that Robert Griffin III or the Washington Redskins had envisioned before the season began. The Redskins are just 3-7 on the season, last place in the NFC East, and Griffin has once again battled injury, as well as issues with his play on the field.
Along with the shaky performance, jersey sales for RGIII, who was just a short time ago considered one of the most popular players in the entire NFL, have also not been doing so hot.
According to the DICK’S Sporting Goods Jersey Report, which reflects sales both nationwide and online, Griffin’s sales check in at No. 18 on the season, which isn’t exactly the ideal spot for someone that carries his notoriety.
RGIII used to have one of the top selling jerseys in the entire NFL, but given the struggles this season for both he and the team, it’s really no wonder that his sales have taken a bit of a plunge and nearly have him knocked out of the top 20.
On the season, RGIII has played in just four games, throwing for 763 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions.
If he can get things turned around down the stretch, though, and get some momentum heading into next season, he could be right back up near the top of the pack.
