There was an interesting scene last night when the Chicago Bulls were playing the Sacramento Kings. As point guard Derrick Rose was walking off the court, he approaches a young fan in Bulls gear. The child has a folded shirt in his hands and Rose appears to grab it and just walk off.
When Rose approaches you can see the excitement as the kid stands there hands out. His mother shifts over a couple seats to get a better angle for the interaction with her camera.
Then Rose takes what is in the kid’s hands and just walks off. The kid awkwardly takes a couple of steps to follow him before just watching Rose walk away for good.
Now, let’s give Rose the benefit of the doubt and say that this video doesn’t paint the whole story. It looks like Rose grabs something unidentifiable from the kid’s hand before walking off, I want to assume it is a sharpie.
So then he took the shirt or jersey in the kid’s hand, went back towards the locker room and signed it, then having a team official return it.
That’s what I’d like to think happened.
Still, if that was the case why didn’t Rose explain that?
Watch it below and let us know what you think happened in the comments below.
