First Look At Game Of Thrones Videogame

Telltale Games is getting ready to launch the first chapter of Game of Thrones and now gamers have their first look at the title.

Game of Thrones as a show is still slated for 2015, but Telltale’s Game of Thrones episodic video game is still expected to make its debut prior to the end of 2014. The first chapter is slated to launch on each major platform including the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and iOS.

Considering the level of excitement that the TV show causes, it only makes sense that Telltale would make the six chapter video game based off of the show rather than following along with the books. The game will be set in a time period that takes place between the third and fourth seasons of the show.

Wired had the privilege of exclusively revealing a character for the game named, Maester Ortengryn. Here’s the description that Telltale provided them:

"Originating from a minor house in the Vale, Maester Ortengryn studied at the Citadel in the hope of being assigned to the Eyrie. But by the time he’d earned enough links on his chain to graduate from acolyte, Jon Arryn had been murdered and the South was in turmoil. The Citadel ultimately assigned Maester Ortengryn to Ironrath, where he soon came to respect the Forrester family’s honor and integrity. He now serves the Forresters with pride and has become a trusted advisor to the Lord."

Although I’m not a Game of Thrones fan in any capacity, Telltale looks poised to launch what should be a very well done game following a very well done storyline. With the title being released episodically, it will give gamers the same sense of anticipation that the show provides for fans.
