A shooting at Florida State rocked the Tallahassee campus earlier this week when an alum opened fire in the Strozier Library while hundreds of students studied for final exams, wounding three and leaving the shooter as the lone casualty after police shot him.
Strozier is as synonymous with the campus as Doak Campbell Stadium where the Seminoles host Boston College on Saturday as the Seminoles look to improve to 11-0 and extend their winning streak to 27 games. They will do so with a special helmet decal to unite the students, fans and community after a horrifying situation earlier in the week.

Classes were cancelled on Thursday but athletic director Stan Wilcox released a statement telling students that the campus is safe.
“Following tragic times like we experienced today, athletic events can help in unifying both the student body and community,” Wilcox said, via CBS Sports. “That is our hope in moving forward with these events.”
Head coach Jimbo Fisher spoke about how tragic events can unite a community and sports can help foster that bond.
“That’s one of the great qualities that sports does have, it unites a community,” Jimbo Fisher said via the Orlando Sentinel. “Tragic situations do and they’re very united, but I thinks sports does a lot of the time in terms of camaraderie.”
The Seminoles and Golden Eagles kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET in a game that will hold a little extra special meaning considering the events that transpired on campus days earlier.
