The latest patch to fix Halo: The Master Chief Collection matchmaking issues has been rolled out to the game.

Since the launch of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, reviews poured in clamoring over what a great game 343 Industries had made and how it had raised the bar for remasters. While all of that is true, the launch of the online portion of the title has been anything but smooth. With the launch of the latest patch, the company is hoping that they have fixed most of the issues.

Earlier this week, 343 Industries had noted that they would be rolling out a patch to work on further fixes for matchmaking and the online components of Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Unfortunately it took longer than desired to get to gamers. With Microsoft having to approve each update sent through Xbox Live, as well as the patch needing to be tweaked, it has just now gone live.

Thanks to Halo: Waypoint, 343 Industries mentioned the patch should now be live as it was rolled out Thursday afternoon:

"Our latest content update is live, and is now being rolled out to all regions. If you don’t see the update right away, don’t fear, as it will arrive shortly. This particular content update addresses matchmaking performance, UI, gameplay, and title-specific issues."

Considering how launches of many big name titles have gone this year, it was an unfortunate situation to see Halo: The Master Chief Collection plagued by the same situations. Considering that 343 Industries as well as Phil Spencer have all apologized for the debacle, we can only hope for smooth sailing from here on out.

Not to rub salt in the wounds of anyone, but despite how you feel about it as a game, Destiny was as flawless of a rollout for an online game that we have seen this year. That was executed by Bungie.
