On Thursday night, the Oakland Raiders kicked off Week 12 with their first win of 2014-15 NFL season. After the win, Justin Tuck reflected on what it meant to everyone who had been waiting for that moment.
For the first time in over a calendar year, we get to write: The Oakland Raiders came away with the win.

Oakland disposed of the AFC West rival Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday for their first win of the season. Showing that they are not used to winning, young linebackers Sio Moore and Khalil Mack celebrated twenty yards downfield while a crucial fourth-down loomed.
Veteran defensive end Justin Tuck bailed out his team and kept the Raiders from drawing a penalty.
Despite the boneheaded, yet entertaining celebration from his teammates, Justin Tuck said that it was a special moment for the Raiders and their fans and he was very happy with the way things ended on Week 12.
“I’ve played in a lot of big games and a lot of emotional games, but that was something special. That was something I’ll never forget. That’s because this team has stuck together, we’re a band of brothers,” Tuck said, via the team’s website.
“No matter what our record says, this is one of the closest teams I’ve played with and it’s a family. I know how big that monkey was on a lot of guys’ backs. This team hadn’t won a game in 16 games, and it gets old. It’s hard to come in here every Wednesday and put that behind you and get back to work, but we did that and we beat a good football team tonight. We’ve been close all year in a lot of situations, but today we finished it. It was a special moment.”
It is easy to poke fun at the Raiders, but their fans are among the most dedicated in the NFL and it was indeed a great and well-deserved moment.
