After sacking Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith, the Raiders were one step closer to their first win of the season and Moore and Mack could not contain their excitement.
Nearly 20 yards downfield, the two young defenders went on to perform an epic sack celebration.
They were so excited about the sack which ultimately led to the Raiders earning their first win in over a calendar year, that they paid no attention to the fact that the Chiefs were still ready to finish the game.
Luckily, Justin Tuck ade a heads up play and called a timeout.
After the game, Sio Moore apologized for his actions.
“I was so caught in the moment, that was an error I’ve got to make sure I clean up,” Moore said, via Pro Football Talk.
“In another situation, in all seriousness, that can make the difference, and I’ve got to understand that. I do apologize for putting the guys in that situation because that could come up in another situation later. I can’t let my emotions get the best of me.”
While it would be easy to get on the Raiders and slam Sio Moore and Khalil Mack for over celebrating, we will give them a pass on this one. After all, wins are rare to come by in Oakland these days.
