Solomon won a hotly-contested quarterback competition in the offseason and was one of the team’s bright spots as he helped lead Arizona to an upset win against Oregon and a top-15 ranking heading into today’s game against No. 17 Utah.
However, he left the game with a walking boot and his body language revealing that the injury could keep him from the regular season finale against rival Arizona State next week.

Solomon was 8-of-17 with 158 yards and ran five times for 22 yards, including an 11-yard touchdown in the first quarter to give Arizona an early 7-0 lead. The lead would swell to 21-7 in the third quarter before Scroggins took over and completed his first two passes for 53 yards. Arizona can’t afford to lose this game so they need a big effort from Scroggins to maintain their lead and pull off the win and hope Solomon will be able to return next week.
