The Miami Hurricanes nearly defeated the Florida State Seminoles last weekend at home, but despite the loss, we learned that Miami quarterback Brad Kaaya is the real deal and will be a good one for years to come for this program.
Very early on Saturday night against Virginia, we saw this once again.
Right off the bat, watch Kaaya hit speedy wide receiver Philip Dorsett with a 47-yard touchdown strike to give the Canes the early lead in this ACC contest.
Again, the progression that we’ve seen from Kaaya all season has been amazing for a true freshman that was thrown into the fire early on in his career. He started off shaky, but he’s settled in wonderfully and is bringing it all together.
Kaaya was a former top recruit and he’s starting to play like it. It actually makes you wonder, with his development this season, whether or not he could save the job of Al Golden, who is on a lot of peoples’ hot seat lists.
