Eric Decker had a great season with the Denver Broncos in 2013, but he took the big bucks to move in with the New York Jets where things have gone less than spectacular.

When Eric Decker decided that signing with the New York Jets this offseason was a good idea, he knew that he was giving up his successes in Denver. To be fair, the Broncos didn’t want to bring Decker back at the price he wanted but that doesn’t mean he isn’t still keeping an eye on his old team.

Decker spoke candidly about the difference between the Broncos season this year and his season with the Jets, but acknowledged that football just works that way sometimes.

"“Emmanuel Sanders is playing well in my spot, so to speak,” Decker said. “Sometimes, you know, it’s tough to see all the success. But that’s football. It’s going to go in swings. Who says we can’t be a great football team? We got to obviously do some right things to get there, but I’m happy for Peyton and Demaryius [Thomas]. I respect them so much. They’re all good friends, so I like to see them do well, but sometimes it’s hard.”"

It’s pretty big of Dekcer to openly admit that his season is pretty terrible and the Broncos are on the other end of the spectrum. That being said, he literally signed up for this when he sold his soul to the New York Jets this offseason. That was a mistake that everyone saw coming, and now that Decker is well paid he’s going to have to live with the fact that’s all he’ll be this season.
