Mariota entered this week’s game against Colorado leading the nation in quarterback rating and combined touchdowns as the Ducks signal caller is on his way toward potentially winning the Heisman Trophy.
The redshirt junior quarterback is without question the best quarterback in the nation who is capable of beating a defense with his arm as well as his feet like he did with this 46-yard touchdown run against the Buffs.
This was the ninth rushing touchdown on the year for Mariota, matching the career-high he set last year and brings his season total to 39 combined touchdowns.
Do you think Mariota will win the Heisman? Will Oregon move up to the No. 1 ranking in the College Football Playoff rankings with Alabama sleepwalking against Western Carolina? Let us know in the comments section below.
