Rashad Greene of Florida State was knocked out of the game Saturday early, but came back to break a school career record for receiving yards.

Senior Rashad Greene added another Florida State career receiving record to his collection on Saturday, getting 106 receiving yards on eight catches to pass Ron Sellers’ old mark of 3,598 career yards.

The record-breaker came on his last catch, a 15-yard reception from Jameis Winston on Florida State’s final possession as the Seminoles—ranked No.1 by The Associated Press and No. 3 by the College Football Playoff selection committee—drove for a game-winning field goal in the closing seconds.

That gave Greene 3,613 career receiving yards. He is the ACC’s leading receiver with 83 receptions this year and has 1,148 yards—both are new career highs for Greene.

Greene set the mark in Florida State’s 20-17 win over stubborn Boston College, but it looked for awhile as if he wouldn’t be around to do it. Greene left for the locker room late in the first half with what looked to be a right arm injury:

But Greene returned to the field with the ‘Noles after halftime and was back out with the offense for its first possession of the half.

He had set the all-time receptions mark at the school earlier this season, but is currently fourth with 27 career touchdown receptions, five behind Peter Warrick’s total of 32.

Florida State improved to 11-0 and finished 8-0 in the ACC with its 27th straight victory. The ‘Noles play Florida next week at home and will face Georgia Tech on Dec. 6 for the ACC championship in Charlotte, N.C.
