Indiana needed a monster performance from running back Tevin Coleman to have a shot at upsetting the heavily-favored Ohio State Buckeyes and while he performed admirably, it wasn’t enough to pull off the upset

Coleman is one of the nation’s best running backs, trailing only Melvin Gordon in rushing yards this year and was coming off a 307-yard performance last week to boost his Heisman candidacy for a struggling Hoosiers team.
He has been Indiana’s lone bright spot in an otherwise lost season that will end with another losing record and without a bowl game, but Coleman didn’t disappoint against Ohio state with 228 yards and three touchdowns, including this 52-yard run late in the fourth quarter.
This touchdown run came with 1:13 remaining and Indiana trailing by 22 so despite the game already being decided that didn’t stop Coleman from giving his all until the clock hit triple zero’s.
Coleman may find himself getting an invite to the Heisman ceremony next month for his exploits on the gridiron and will look to top the 2,000 yard mark in the season finale against in-state rival Purdue as they battle for the Old Oaken Bucket next Saturday.
The only thing that will keep him from being at the Downtown Athletic Club will be Indiana’s poor record that sits at 3-8 and 0-8 in the Big Ten. From a production standpoint, however, Coleman is more than deserving of rubbing shoulders with the best of the best in college football.
